You might be familiar with some of the more popular oils including peppermint, lavender and lemon.

However, this is just the tip of the iceberg.

Did you know that there have been over 3,000 oils that have been identified, with each oil having it's own special benefits.

  • Essential oils are more than nice scents. They are naturally occurring volatile aromatic compounds that are distilled or pressed from plants.

  • Young Living essential oils are a natural solution to empower you to avoid harmful chemicals, enrich your life and reclaim your natural radiance.

There are 3 main ways to use essential oils.

1. Aromatic – inhale the oils.

  • Rub 1-2 drops of essential oil between your palms and inhale

  • Add essential oils to a diffuser.

  • Add a few drops of essential oil to a bowl of hot water and cover your head and bowl with a towel. Breathe deeply and slowly. Can help with congestion and migraines.

2. Topical – apply the oils directly to the skin

  • Rub 1-2 drops of essential oil directly on the desired area.

  • NOTE: Essential oils are very potent and may be irritating to the skin. If irritation occurs apply any pure vegetable oil to the area to dilute.

3. Internal – ingest the oils.

  • Place several drops of oil into a gelatin capsule and swallow with water

  • Add 1-2 drops of essential oil to a glass of water or NingXia Red

  • Add 1-2 drops of oil {to taste} to meals when cooking

  • NOTE: Always consult individual product labels for usage directions. Young Living essential oils are guaranteed for purity and potency, and all oils that can be ingested are clearly labeled as supplements and are certified GRAS (Generally Regarded As Safe) by the FDA. Each oil has specifications and safety info printed right on the label.

  • In 2 minutes they will be found in the bloodstream.

  • In 20 minutes they will affect every cell in the body.

  • Essential oils are very powerful and potent so a little bit goes a long way. Certain "hot" oils, such as Oregano, Peppermint and Cinnamon will require dilution as they can irritate the skin.

  • A carrier oil is any fatty vegetable based oil such as olive, coconut, grapeseed, avocado, sweet almond, jojoba

  • To cover a larger surface area, dilute 1-2 drops of essential oils in your favourite carrier oil.

  • When using essential oils on children, always dilute as follows:

    • Infants: 1-3 drops of essential oil to 1 Tablespoon of carrier oil

    • Children 1-5 years old: 1-3 drops of essential oil to 1 teaspoon of carrier oil

  • NOTE: Young Living have a range of essential oils specifically for children which are already diluted and ready to go.
